Ducati 750 GT 1972 rare first production series with sand-cast crankcases. Manufactured 04/72.
This series ran from Engine number 750100 to 750404, this Ducati is engine number 750327. Frame number 750491. Original paint, un-restored, factory crankcase seal intact. Very original, still running original factory plug leads and Ducati condensers, still have factory Ducati coils but bike is running new Bosch coils. Odometer showing 7842. Previous owner purchased bike in 1985 in Kansas with 5272 miles showing (on title) and kept it in storage for over twenty years. I purchased bike late 2015 and imported to Australia. Bike has been re-commissioned for road use, including new tyres, fork seals, brakes rebuilt, carbs rebuilt, new chain and sprockets, ignition and tappets checked and all cables replaced, clutch plates cleaned, oiled and re-fitted. Bike is registered and has been used regularly for the last 5 years. Original exhaust re-chromed and original mufflers replaced with quality Conti replica mufflers.
Starts and runs well.
Paint on frame is thin, tank weeps slightly where the fibreglass mouldings are bonded in a couple of places. Original instrument holder has no cracks, still has one original Ducati ignition key.
Does not have original air filters or headlight glass.
