1995 Mercedes E220 Convertible For Sale

Modern Classic - Mercedes E220 convertible. Used as my daily driver, I’m now needing my car more for work. As such I’m changing to a company vehicle and reluctantly selling the Mercedes. I’m desperately sad to have to move it on but such is life. It took me a long time to find this car and despite the high millage, the extensive history gave me reassurance to make the purchase. Clearly at this price (to sell) its not perfect and i’ve noted the issues below. During the time ive had the car, its been serviced regularly and all issues that have come up resolved quickly. For example in January it had a full major service carried out including front and rear pads and discs. Other items recently replaced includes, boot struts, thermostat, window regulator, fan heater motor and alternator I have also updated the stereo to a Blaupunt Torronto (since updated from the interior shot) which looks much more “period” and great for streaming music along with replacing the front speakers with EOM replacements as the original paper cones weren’t great. The issues: - the hood just about works but the rear hoop drops rather than lowers into position. - three of the tires are old and probably need replacing - there is a squeak from the driver seat that comes and goes - the drivers door panel is lose and needs fixing - there are some small areas of rust here and there but generally the body is in good order - the headliner sags and needs replacing - the leather isn’t torn or damaged but could do with some attention - the electric aerial was pushed in by someone and now doesn’t come up so ive had it disconnected - it doesn’t effect streaming music. To my mind the car is mechanically sound and the gearbox is smooth and lazy - in the typical Mercedes fashion. The E220 has always been garaged by me and regularly washed and waxed. The engine starts on the button every time and doesn’t use any oil - the top up bottle i bought remains unused. For what its worth the car is a joy to drive and gets endless looks and comments from people wherever it goes. Some options fitted to the E220: Mushroom leather Azurite blue metallic Heated seats 4 speed automatic gearbox Visor vanity lighting Wind deflector MOT until September this year. 185,000 miles £5500
