Over £10k spent on this restoration, nothing left to unturned.
I bought this car as a rolling chassis back in 2013 with the idea of restoring it to use as my first car when I past my test. Unfortunately life got in the way and with a house move, the end date was extended.
The car is finally running and I have been out on a few runs and shows. It even won a show and shine trophy at the Footman James car show at Event City Manchester. There are a few final little jobs to complete.
Things to complete:
Door and boot seals
Final setup of heating system/ air intake
Cigarette lighter wiring
All parts included to complete.
Also comes with Heritage Trust certificate.
The little Austin came as a rolling chases with all the parts and extras. My Dad, Grandad and I went through the lengthy process of restoring the car to what you see today.
Here are a few of the things we did:
Full shell sand blasted
Few patches welded
Complete respray (Jaguar red with white roof, grill and wheels)
Engine rebuild/ rebore A35 engine
Gearbox reconditioned with A35 gears to match engine
Completely new interior in black with red piping
New wiring loom
I am in no rush to sell this car, as I believe the time and care that has been put into restoring this car, through 3 generations makes it worth every penny.
Please note that the registration plate seen on the photos doesn’t come with the sale (as the initials of the registration plate are my Grandads initials so it has great sentimental value) however, age related registration now on new V5. Buyer will need new number plates.
Please get in touch if you have any questions
Car can be reviewed at premises on Derbyshire/ Cheshire border upon request.
We do have a number of Austin spares that we will sell separately.
