Thank you for looking at my fantastic Norton, this is a great classic motorbike that I am reluctantly thinking of selling.
I've owned the bike since 2015 and have loved every second of it! it looks beautiful, rides surprisingly well and even more surprising is fairly reliable!
It isn't for purists, it isn't at all perfect but it is enjoyable to look at, to work on and to ride.

I purchased the bike from Anthony Godin, a reputable and prestigious dealer of classic motor vehicles in Kent. Please look at their website to view some more details and back story on the bike.

I brought it as a recently refurbished/rebuilt bike. Since I have had it I have fitted the correct Vincent style flat handle bars, I've serviced the bike yearly despite only riding around 1,000 miles per year and most importantly I had it completely re-wired. The work was done by renowned but now sadly closed Robinson's Speed Shop of Leigh-on-sea.

At this moment it could do with a service (oil and filters), most importantly it needs the carburetor servicing and it needs a new pet-cock as the current one leaks like a tap!. These are all very simple and fairly inexpensive jobs and if you charm me and pay for parts I may consider doing these before collection.
Please note without the pet-cock being replaced you will need to trailer the bike away. Other wise it will leak out a full tank in about 2 hours - I found out the hard way.

Other things that are not urgent or even necessary are;
Wheel rims (original Dunlops) are rusting in places, they could do with a refurb
Tires have plenty of tread but are quite old (at least 5 years) maybe best to replace
The frame under the seat has has two lugs cut off (bad job and not by me) this causes no issues but it's ugly. I kept meaning to get new lugs/tabs made and replacing but always forget (out of sight)
The throttle cable is far too long, a shorter version would look neater
The guide that holds the throttle cable is currently a rawl plug and electric tape! I did this as the cable would occasionally slip free from the twist grip. My bodge fix works so I never looked any further into the issue but I suspect a shorter cable would remedy both issues.
I would replace the ignition switch and key as this has the original Lucas items. The key (there's only one) is silly and will fall out so you have to turn on the ignition and put it in your pocket. Or use a screw driver or a knife, or a credit card or anything flat and slim at all!!!!

I'm only considering selling because I don't use it. It hasn't been ridden further than around my cul-de-sac for over a year and it breaks my heart to see it just sitting in the garage. I have two young children and a long list of hobbies, riding bikes is not something I can involve my children in (yet) and so if the right buyer offers the right price I'll get a classic car of the same era so I can include the family in my passion for old British motors.

If by any chance you have an MG B (GT), Midget, Austin Healey Sprite, Austin or Morris Mini or Triumph Spitfire in similarly good order and want to trade or PX with a small cash input (either way) then that could be of interest.

I work from home and so can be available for viewings by appointment, the bike is located in Benfleet/Hadleigh in Essex (aprox 35 miles from central London). Please contact me via messaging to arrange.
If you would like to test ride the bike that is fine but I would have to have the full asking price in my hand beforehand for security.

Tax and MOT exempt, very cheap classic motor insurance and a piece of British engineering history, what more could you want?

Questions welcomed.

Sold as seen, no warranty given or implied, no returns or refunds it is an old bike so please make sure you are happy before committing to buy.
