MGB GT with Overdrive
She looks a one off with a Jaguar British Racing Green, a tan leather interior, and off white leather roof lining. Big wheels, a great sounding exhaust, and full history to match.
I have owned Jodie, as we call her, since 2009 and spent my time enjoying driving her, and continuing to improve her. We have history going back to 1987 and extensive pictures of her journey. The only reason for selling is that we have had twins, and along with our toddler, I'm not getting any time to take her out, and none in the foreseeable future! She is too beautiful not to ride the roads, so with a very heavy heart, I have to let her go.
To give you some background, she's in great condition:
All the carpets are new and we added sound proofing at the time as well. We added an original Blaupunkt radio with the addition of a 3.5 mm jack for your phone.
Work of note that I have had carried out at MG specialist Fisher Services over that time includes:
New Engine at 52,969 miles
New clock at 54,154 miles which now shows 376 miles, giving the engine a total of 1561 Miles.
Re-conditioned/manufactured Gear box and clutch.
New Wiring Loom
All splined hubs and wheel replaced with new front wheel bearings and new 185 tyres and new 15" wire wheels
Full bare metal re-spray in 2014, meaning new rubbers all round.
6 years on from the re-spray and there are a few bits and pieces that need looking at which I have photographed, but no rust, rather 2 spots where the filler has cracked around the windows, and a few spots where the paint is beginning to react.
A very nice MGB GT in the original color "British Racing Green". A beautiful car with overdrive. This MGB GT was delivered new in 1973 in the United States. Then the car in 1995 came to the Netherlands......
We are always looking for nice clean MG stock, Midgets, BGTs, Roadsters, MG 1100s, Magnettes, MGA's etc
Instant decisions with prompt payment and same day payment either by bank transfer or cash.
Full restoration required for this early and quite rare MK1 GT. Castle sections and sills are good, comes with original aluminium bonnet and interior, non overdrive gearbox.
Will be a valuable asset.....
