HPI, says no previous inquiries or insurance checks ever carried out on this car. All clear and matches VIN.

1 previous owner and registered in Sidcup area, last owner in Dagenham. It has never gone more than a couple of miles of the plant it was built in as the crow flies.

I had some time yesterday and gave the car a clean, put a bit of paint on the primered front end and refitted most of the trim etc.
Now you can see what a good original car this is, and what it would look like restored.
I have loads more pictures.

There is no miles or mot history recorded because it had never been checked before. Last change of keeper in 1991.
First owner 17 years second 29 years.

This car was Ziebarted and under sealed before it left the dealers, has covered 53k which i think is probably genuine and is rare in sunburst red and even rarer with black interior, most red cars had beige interiors.

Please read it all, having taken the time to inspect and describe the car i don,t want to answer pointless questions.

Rare top of the range mk3, and the best bit, well for those that like to drive, is a manual gearbox. Many of these had slush boxes.

All the removed parts are with the car.

The Pinto turns with good compression.

This is pretty much a cosmetic restoration, welding required is minimal.
The only filler on this car is to a scratch dent on n/s rear quarter and over the weld on a new arch panel that never got finished because they found the rot at the end of the sill.

Floors, chassis rails, inner wings, headlamp bowls, boot floor, inner sills in the car, A posts, scuttle,Bonnet, front wings. front doors, valances front and rear, bulkhead are all very good,it needs some new metal to rear quarters, arches and rear end of sills.though the near side outer will be better to replace.

Has an interesting reg, SLY @@@ M.

Probably the easiest mk3 project you will ever find, No welding required under the bonnet in the boot or under the car, no panels to hunt down unless you happen to have rear quarters lying around what is there will repair.
The a posts are the best i have ever seen on a ford of this age, normally the bowl at the bottom is rotten, not this one. All the door skins are good as are the bottom of the fronts, rear need some repair to the frames.

Font wings are excellent and loose to inspect the a posts.

N/s sill as usual, the gutter side , has been replaced but o/s is original. Both have rot at rear end and o/s has a patch, both inner at the very rear part in the wheel arch have ugly mot patches, the rest inside the car is excellent as are all the door shuts.
The first inch of inner sill at base of A post has a little perforation but where it is hardly worth doing, minor and treating sealing it will last for years.

Front panel and valance are solid, very small hole by o/s headlight on front pane but that is it.

Rear panel and valance both solid, possibly a little repair needed to valance at n/s rear.

Roof needs 2 tiny repairs but they will be covered by new vinyl.

Interior not bad at all, some in and out wear to drivers seat edges and a small tear on the rear squab, door cards all good except cloth on armrests as usual, perfect headlining, Door wood caps not the best. Carpets look good, dash ok some sun distortion
