|Moto Guzzi lodola 235cc 1962. Believed imported to UK around that time so not a recent Italian import, registered as Historic vehicle, V5C present in my name. The last design to come from Carlo Guzzi before he retired. Completely rebuilt, 2500 km ago, with rebore, new piston, new bearings, professionally rebuilt roller bearing crank, rebuilt/Improved kickstart ratchet assembly (a known weak point), new drive sprocket, new wiring loom with reliable connectors, Pazon electronic ignition, 12v system, with lucas dynamo fitted (for ease of parts and maintenance) and quality solid state voltage regulator, sealed battery, ammeter. Stainless fasteners with correct spec threads (made specially), heavy duty st stl spokes, 2k epoxy paint (Ral 3003 ruby red for easy touch up) with lacquer over transfers for protection and powder coated frame. Original Borrani alloy rims and new wheel bearings, taper roller steering bearing conversion, modern adjustable rear suspension fitted (but leaky originals available along with some original spares including original Magneti Marelli dynamo). Improved filler cap and sealing (Full rebuild file along with manuals and research data etc). Prior to rebuild bike had completed over 55,000 km so now rebuilt and ready for the next 50,000 (at least..) Very reliable, good handling Italian classic lightweight tourer (mass 115kg) with 90mpg and 70mph max. Recently featured on the cover of the VMCC magazine and subject of an in - depth article in Real Classic Magazine.|
