This Marcos is one of the last cars to be built at the Wiltshire factory. The original TS250 was a Ford V6, the press and enthusiasts were asking for a V8.
The TS500 was the answer, with a wider wheel track, updated stronger LM600 chassis, limited slip diff. The air intake was made larger and the cooling was updated which enables the 5.0L V8 to tick over all day with out any over heating problems.?
The paint work is in original Sparkling metallic silver now in A1 condition, the car having entered the show and shine at the Marcos National did not disgrace itself.
It has covered just 16500 miles from new with the all MOTs verified by DVLA.
The engine is a 5 Litre V8 producing 320 bhp, weighing in at just over a 1 ton. The TS500 is capable of achieving 60mph in around 4 seconds with a top speed of over 160mph with an exhaust note to match.
Five speed gear box and limited slip differential, along with adjustable suspension and low profile new tyres, keeps this car firmly on the road.
LED rear lamps
Fixed seats with electric pedal box.
With many more extras.
This car was featured in the Marcos sales brochure, and was used at the launch at Canary Warf and Goodwood Festival of speed in 2004.It was also used as the press car for all the motoring magazines at the time.
There is a complete write up about the car by Graham Bell.
