Arancio Miura | Coupé | 5 Speed Manual | 4.0 litre V12 | 00084 kms showing | POA

The brainchild of seven young engineers working after hours at Lamborghini on what would become the world’s first supercar- a revolutionary mid-engined design that had manufacturers like Ferrari scrambling to compete, the Lamborghini Miura P400 was first unveiled for the 1966 Geneva Auto Salon.

The world’s fastest production car at the time, the Miura P400 offered a 350hp, 4 litre DOHC transverse V-12 engine with six Weber carburettors, five-speed chrome gated manual transmission (paddles were not on the options list), double-wishbone coil-spring independent suspension, and four-wheel Girling disc brakes.

Using a lightweight frame draped in aluminium body panels the Miura P400’s beautiful yet aggressive design was a combination of feminine curves contrasted with strong Bull-horn inspired architecture.

Progressing through three models from the original P400 to the P400 S and SV with just 763 cars ever produced, the Miura’s incredibly low production numbers and ground breaking design have cemented this classic as a must have amongst collectors around the world.

This Lamborghini Miura P400 S offered was built in March 1969 and delivered new through French retailer AutoElite in Rosso Corsa over Black Leather trim.

Spending its entire life in France its last owner kept the car for 15 years subjecting it to a 12 year no-expense spared nut and bolt concours restoration completed only recently where it is now presented in the iconic colour combination of Arancio Miura over Black leather trim.

Today, this Miura P400 S remains in excellent condition, still retaining its correct chassis and engine number, neatly finished in every respect and features the correct full-leather interior, correct Sebring Mach/1 wing mirrors, Carello headlamps and magnesium-alloy Campangolo wheels.

Frequently voted the most beautiful car of all time, past and present auction prices highlight the Bluechip investment status of this ground breaking car.

This car represents not only excellent value but convenience being located here in Australia especially after the new importing legislation proves it more difficult and very costly to bring in classics to our shores.

A rare and excellently well-prepared Miura that oozes the enchanting theatre we love from Italian exotica, from the symphonic exhaust note to the V12 planted just behind the headrests, so rarely is a car like this available to own, drive and invest in here in Australia.
