1981 Honda CB900F (Bol D'or) Cafe For Sale
Up for grabs, this fabulous '81 Honda CB900F (Bol D'or) Cafe. Customised sympathetically and to a high standard (no chopped frame) it maintains the original muscle of the 900cc Japanese 4 cylinder with the subtle charms of a retro cafe racer. The bike is mechanically sound and has only a handful (176) of miles since it was rebuilt in 2015 (which I understand to be a complete rebuild from the bottom up). I have little history for this bike but it runs well, has a current MOT, V5 in my name and 1 original key. It was Dino'd when the Carbs were rebuilt (2019), pulling 81HP (Close to what it would have left the factory with). Wheels (Gold Reverse Comstars), tyres (Avon road riders) brakes and chain reflect the lack of use. In addition, the bike benefits from a good quality cafe humped seat, some very nice rear sets, Hagon rear shocks and the unmissable hand built Aluminium tank with Monza cap. Carbs were tuned to suit the polished velocity stacks and DAM 2-1 exhausts allowing the 900ccs to growl! Clip on handle bars, LED tell-tales and minimalist speedo complete the paired down front end. Fork tubes and seals are good. There are a few cosmetic points which require some attention (please see photos); a few bits of rust on the chrome headlight and indicator and some cracks in the side panel. Nothing that cant be put right or easily replaced. A real head turner, an appreciating classic (No MOT or road tax next year!?!) and a great bit of summer fun. I have the item advertised elsewhere and as such, reserve the right to end the listing prematurely. Given the current climate, viewings are by appointment and any test rides require insurance and cleared funds. Please let me know if you require any other information.
