The ‘Oxford’ was manufactured by William Morris (later BMC) between 1913 & 1971 and the Farina Oxfords V & VI were the final incarnations. A total of 208, 823 of this model were produced and they proved extremely popular with the aspiring middle classes and upwardly mobile family buyer. Today most examples have fallen victim to corrosion or the Banger Racers from the 1980’s and good original examples are hard to find and highly prized.
At Milestones we seek out well priced, unmolested cars in outstanding condition for our discerning customers. The early life of our Oxford is a little unclear but we understand the car was retained by the first owner for many years before being put into storage by his widow.
Unlike most Farina bodied cars this example has never been welded – all the sills, outriggers and floors are exactly as they left the factory in 1965. As you would expect with one of cars, she starts easily, drives very well and copes easily with modern road conditions.
The deep red Damask bodywork really suits the car and the original chrome bumpers & exterior trim are in excellent condition. On entering the car the leather seats, door cards, carpets, roof lining etc. are all exceptional – the grey leather simply looks stunning and the aroma is like stepping back into the mid 1960’s!
There is a small history file with the car including a variety of invoices, MOT’s, Drivers Handbook etc. The car has only come to Milestones as the owner found her a tight fit in his garage and has decided to go for a slightly smaller classic.
Farinas in this condition are difficult to find. Ideal for weekends away, classic car shows or simply a trip down to the local pub this car will provide lots of pleasure for many years to come to the lucky new owners.

Arguably one of the best, unmolested Series 3 remaining, I have owned this car for over thirty years. It has been garaged for that whole period. In full working order, I use it only sparingly. It ticks over like a dream and has excellent oil pressure. I believe, but can not guarantee, that the mileage shown is correct. ...

Welcome to the listing of my 1968 Morris Oxford. This has to be one of the best examples in the country. I purchased this car from its long term owner of over 20 years in March of this year. I've since sold it to a friend of mine who is now looking for a Morris 1100/1300 so no longer needs the Oxford. The underside ...
