This is a unique vehicle which was purchased by a very wealthy Arab gentleman in 1985 and professionally converted by Mulliner Park Ward for his wife for their wedding in 1994. We have copies of all communication between the owner and Mulliner Park Ward discussing the conversion and the invoices for all the work carried out. In total over £58,000 was spent on the conversion - in 1994 !
The vehicle was completely stripped down and rebuilt with many of the panels replaced with new, all glass removed, seals renewed, woodwork renewed and the entire car repainted and re-trimmed to the owners specifications. Highlights of the expenditure include 5 metres of Wilton carpets and 10 connolly hides at a cost of £5,000, chemical strip to bare metal and repaint in two pack paint at £12,000, new woodwork at £3,280 and a new stereo system with multiple speakers at £1,735 ! The car was then subjected to a comprehensive service, again at Mulliner Park Ward, at cost of over £13,000. All this work was carried out with 58,000 miles recorded and the car has covered just 60,000 miles now.
Still the property of the lady it was built for, the car has seen very little used since the wedding covering only 2,000 miles in 25 years, most of the mileage covered while the car was on loan to friends and relatives for their weddings. Together with the vehicle we have an A4 binder approximately 2 inches thick containing a large collection of invoices detailing repairs and maintenance carried out in recent years, much of the work being carried out at local marque specialists Bowling Ryan who are very well known to us and highly respected. The history folder also contains old MOT's, tax discs and previous V5's. It is very interesting to sit and peruse the history folder, there are some eye watering invoices contained within, it is clear this car has been maintained with a "money no object" approach and it drives accordingly.
Finished in cream with magnolia hide and ivory carpets, the rear compartment has a unique kidney shaped seat for the bride and groom, a large glass sunroof and of course a rear dome so the happy couple can be seen on their big day. Professionally marketed, this vehicle could be the centrepiece of any wedding fleet.
Period specification includes split level climate control air conditioning, cruise control, electric drivers seat, electric windows front and rear, central locking, top of the line multi speaker stereo ( 1995 ), fog lamps, headlamp wash wipe etc.
Supplied with original book pack complete with owners manuals, all correspondence from Mulliner Park Ward and relevant invoices etc.
This is a unique opportunity, to the best of our knowledge Mulliner Park Ward have never made another.
The car will be supplied with a new MOT with no advisory notices.
