This V8 started life as a 1972 GT but in 2003 it was converted by renowned specialists Bromsgrove MG (including a full professional "nut and bolt" restoration) into a V8 Sebring look-a-like. Specification includes: 4.6 V8 from R.P.I International, Stage 1 heads, Edelbrock carb and inlet manifold, RV8 alloy cam covers, RV8 exhaust manifolds leading into a lovely sounding Janspeed 2.25 inch Stainless Steel exhaust, LT77 Rover 5 speed gearbox, Quaife LSD fitted to MGC axle, Lowered rear springs with Spax adjustable shocks, rose-jointed anti-tramp bars, New Gaz adjustable front telescopic shocks, Recent front uprights, MGOC Power Steering [mechanical pump], Heavy duty clutch, Recent new discs and green stuff pads. New custom-made alloy radiator and twin Revotec fans, 4 x new 225/60x15 tyres on 15 x 9 Revolution wheels, Full size Revolution and Rostyle spare wheels, New high output battery, Black leather seats, Fire extinguisher, New gas tailgate struts, Full Sebring body kit including MGC Louvred alloy bonnet, Slide-back sunroof, Recent new windscreen, Moto-lita wheel, Magnolia dial set including matching voltmeter.
Body and underside all waxoyled and solid.
MG rated condition: Body and Interior 2, Mechanicals 1.
Large file of supporting invoices, current MOT August 2020, although would extend if required. Odometer showing 14,700m since conversion. Recently serviced inc oils & filters. Dyno tested at ~250BHP with massive torque. It's a long-legged tourer or country lane sprinter, either way huge fun to drive and a real head-turner. Up to 25MPG on a run, and I would have been heading off to the Le Mans Classic in it this year (had it not been cancelled) with full confidence in its reliability.
Only offered for sale as I’m looking at a new project..
Serious enquiries only please and no tyre kickers or test pilots. it’s a genuine car and needs a genuine new owner.
