This is an outstanding A30 Countryman which is in exceptional condition.
It was restored over a number of years and now is surely one of the nicest examples available in the UK.
It has had considerable success winning a number of local shows in Northern England. It certainly is an eye catcher and draws attention wherever it goes.
I have always dry stored it in a heated garage. It has the old buff logbook showing it was bought in 1956 by Major William Henry Priston.
Please be assured this vehicle left the works as an A30 Countryman – don’t confuse it with a commercial vehicle which has had a hard life and has been modified to look like an A30 Countryman.
It is MOT and Tax free. The vehicle has been lightly used and is currently showing just over 31,000 miles.
The paintwork is very good. The chrome work shines. The bodywork is free from corrosion and rusting. It even has the correct A30 grill badge and the correct driver’s door mirror.
The seats are 100% original and untouched. They look like new. A new carpet set has been installed. The head lining is in excellent and clean condition.
The 803cc A series engine was stripped and sent to Coventry Metal and Boring for machine work at a cost of £1000.00.
It has hardened valve seats, new oil and fuel pumps. The engine is painted in the correct shade of green and has had the core plugs replaced. The gear box has been stripped and rebuilt in the last few years.
A genuine new old stock 3-point clutch has been fitted. It has a positive earth dynamo and points ignition.
Please feel free to come and inspect the Countryman – It is located in Sedgefield, County Durham TS21.
