1993 Fiat Uno 1.1 I.e. 38,000 miles, for repair. For Sale
I have for sale my Fiat Uno 1.1 I.e, which I've owned for over two years. And has a very low genuine mileage, of just 38,171. With the rare option, of New Zealand blue metallic paint. I purchased the car from the original lady owner, who bought the car from D.C cook in Manchester. And until my ownership, had never been out of the area! She had maintained the car, at her brother's garage. I have a folder full of old receipts, and service history with it. I fitted a new LUK clutch after I bought it, as the original was past it's best. And used the car, to go to car shows and at weekends. Unfortunately the car failed the Mot in 2018, on the front subframe being corroded. The rear suspension top turrets / mounts, being corroded. Front brake hoses, and headlight aim. And a loose CV boot, so the car was laid up. It starts and drives, although recently found there is small fuel leak somewhere. Either from the tank, or a fuel line under the car. As I can smell petrol, from under the drivers side car. The car has the odd mark, scratch etc.. And two bits of lacquer peel, on the corner of the bonnet. And on the passengers wing. There are a couple of minor car park dents, and a crack on the front bumper and grill. But this was how I got it, otherwise it's very clean and tidy overall on the bodywork. The doors, wheel arches, sills, front wings are extremely good. There is the odd rust chip here and there, under the bonnet. And one on the inside, of the drivers door. The interior is in good condition, no rips or tears to the seats. Or head lining, and the dash and interior trim is free of cracks or damage. The car is very basic, but has electric windows. Grundig radio cassette, an central locking. No power steering, but the steering is light. and all the controls. Switches an nobs work like they should, except for the heater fan. Which sometimes works, I have changed the heater resistor. But its still intermittent, so would say the heater fan itself is faulty. The car has a full tool kit, and spare wheel. 2 keys, Fiat owners Handbook pack, plus a folder full of paperwork. V5 present. This would make a great project, for someone who has the skills to put this classic Fiat back on the road. As it's far too good, and rare to be dismantled. I can provide the brake hoses, and rear suspension turret panels. With the car, and a new subframe can be found online. For about £140, plus postage. I'd love to get the car fixed up, but I can't weld. Or do I have the facilities to do the work, and as my job security is uncertain. Paying to store the car, or for someone to do the work. Is unfortunately not something, I can continue to do. Any questions please ask, the car is collection only. I ask that whomever buys the car, can collect within 7 days of purchase. Located 5 minutes, from J11, M42. The car will need to be collected by trailer, or recovery truck. Cash on collection, or a Bank transfer accepted. Thanks for looking.
