1969 Ex royal duty bike For Sale
So ... here is my velocette mk3 , i purchased in 2013 as a new project, but have never found the time to carry on with it.... it is a running motor, running gear all works, i have turned the engine once in a while (every few months), but have not kick started it since 2015, but it moves easily... the key has also gone missing, i left it in the slot, but one day it was gone .. no explanation of how or when... but can be turned with a small screwdriver....like a lot of cars of the day ... as you can see from the original green book, it was grey & maroon...these were the colours for the royal escort for qe from windsor castle to the races, this is one of 12 bikes ever used. This can be verified by the le owners club. it is a 50 year old bike, it has changed hands many times.. but the last owner put it back to original grey....by hand, hence the price, i have found out that the front mudguard and the two paniers were maroon, the rest was grey. there are bumps and lumps, as shown, but it is 50 years old.... but it is a rare bit of motoring history. And you do not see many or any of these up for sale these days..hence the price i know there is work to do... but once finished ..... will be worth it shown in the picture is a replacement screen.... these are very hard to find, it needs a new shield, as last one broke as the guy pulled it out of shed, also is the oil pressure pipe, this was taken off before i got it, it does not need it to run, just to show oil pressure on dial.. i have more pictures if needed, and a small video of the engine turning, all electrics work, aslo advertised elsewhere, so get in touch quickly...
