There probably isn’t a better example of a replica Rocket Gold Star available at the moment.
Ground up rebuild using quality parts from the best and well know BSA and Gold Star specialists. Registered to 1957 A10 frame, with a genuine 1962 Super Rocket engine (fully rebuilt by SRM) and proper RRT2 gearbox driven through a Bob Newby belt drive clutch. Upgraded 12V electrics, Boyer electronic ignition, led headlight etc, etc.

Receipts for almost £10,000 (nearly £6K spent on the engine alone) for the rebuild that started back in 2008 and completed by myself after I got the bike in 2013. The previous owner who started the rebuild said that the probable cost was more like £15K all in.

Anyway, it runs really well, is surprisingly quick, has a very smooth engine and very sweet gearbox - 70mph in 1st gear, officer...You will note that I fitted more comfortable swan neck handlebars, but I have the proper clip ons with levers and cables for that authentic 1960’s look, but for younger frames than mine.

I have the full rebuild history and receipts, such detailed provenance is rare. It’s not quite perfect, but not far off, and I would say this, it’s probably better than new!

More details and loads of good photos are available. I would recommend viewing as the discerning will fully appreciate.

Would suit an enthusiast who will ride it well, and then keep it in the house because it’s so beautiful to look at.
