This touring bike has taken a diet and been stripped of all useless and heavy amenities. roughly 60 kilos were shed, leaving only the bare essentials:
A tank to put petrol in, a seat to place your bum, and that's about it!
Over 300 hours where spent, on an unlimited budget (cost in excess of 5k€). The build was completed in August 2016, and since then it has received a fresh set of tyres, and a new battery.

The build consisted of a total strip-down, until having the engine and gearbox sitting on a wooden block in the middle of my dad's home workshop. I rebuilt the bike from scratch, renewing engine and gearbox seals, clutch, brakes, installed progressive fork springs, Paolo Tarozzi clip-ons, a set of desirable BSK Speedworks rear sets, YSS rear shock, etc...

I relocated the electronic module, relays and fuses under the seat, in between the frame rails. Battery is a Li-Ion unit smaller than a loaf of bread, weighs as much as a sack of peanuts, and packs a punch to get the 1000cc four pot rumbling.

The idea was to get visual focus on that massive brick of an engine, and make it as light as possible. That box is definitely ticked. Paint has been stripped off the aluminium tank, which is now bare and polished. The low centre of gravity makes it surprisingly agile on twisty roads.

Power is not mind-blowing, topping up at a little over 90bhp. Torque is impressive however, with bags of it on tap. Remember what Jeremy Clarkson once said? "Power is how fast you hit the wall, torque is how far you take it with you". Sums it up quite nicely.

I built this bike myself (I am a professional mechanic, specialised in classic vehicles). It was my own little project, which I carried out with love. It has to go now, mainly due to the fact that I became a father, and bikes have a dangerous connotation that no longer appeals to me. I am moving on to building a track day car, based on a Dax Rush. 4 wheels are better than two, and I'll have a roll cage around me.

Since the build in 2016, there are two things that bug me: the alternator regulator needs renewing, and there is an annoying petrol leak at the electrical plug (not at the seams, where they usually corrode)

Open to sensible offers, in the region of 3000€. (£3300, more or less)
