1995 RENAULT CLIO 1.4 RT MK1 PHASE 2 For Sale

For sale is my Mk1 Clio. This is a very reluctant sale, I own another classic car that has always been stored in my grandparents garage. Sadly due to my grandparent passing away recently I will have to bring the classic car to my home address meaning that the Clio has to go :-( 1995 Renault Clio 1.4 RT 5 Door Manual 5 Speed Gearbox Blue Corfu metallic paintwork 52,664 miles MOT expires 28/08/2020 Original handbook wallet present, with service booklet, manual, original key code card etc. Several service stamps in the booklet. Registered new in August 1995 and sold by Evans Halshaw Renault Warwickshire this car has lived a very sheltered life. The first two owners of the car were husband and wife, a lady who owned it from new sadly passed away. It was registered into her husbands name. I purchased the car from a private seller, sadly he never found the V5 doccument so he had to apply for a new one and register in his name. So I am now the 4th owner. Since owning the Clio I have spent a lot of time ensuring its in tip top condition! I have seen to the MOT advisories that were stated on the last MOT. As you will see with the below list. Below is the detailed list of the things I have done to the car since my ownership. I have kept all the receipts in a folder for any parts I have brought. New front and rear wiper blades Complete new exhaust, (down pipe, middle section and rear box) Genuine Renault disc's and pads Thermostat Expansion tank Coolant flush, re-filled using correct D type coolant Oil and filter change at 51,000 miles Spark plugs Air filter Genuine Renault Motrio Clio rear shock absorbents Both front wishbones replaced, complete units with ball joints Both top mounts replaced Both cushion mounts replaced Inner anti roll bar bushes x2 Anti roll link bushes x2 Cam belt replaced at 51,323 miles. Whilst changing this I decided to replace the auxiliary drive belt and also the power steering belt as the original belts had started to perish. I have replaced both front fog lights, I manged to find 2x used ones that were in excellent good condition. The Clio starts and drives extremely well, it is a joy to drive. It is very smooth and economical too, I take great pride in my cars and she has lived a very pampered life during my ownership! The Clio is completely original, apart from the alloy wheels. These alloy wheels were available as an optional extra, so when I saw a set for sale I couldn't resist buying them! They came off a 1996 Clio that was breaking for spares and needed to be a rolling shell still, so I had to say goodbye to the steel wheels. I do have the original wheel trims that of course will be included with the sale. The wheels have been professionally refurbished and I have had 4 new Falken tyres fitted. They were only fitted in March and I have covered very little mileage with them fitted. The spare wheel tread is also perfect. The bodywork is extremely tidy for its age, the Blue Corfu Metallic paintwork gleams. There is however a crease in the bottom of the passenger door, I had a quote by a paint less dent removal company to remove this for £150, but due to the lock down it never happened! The underside of the car is very very clean. The car has never been welded, there is no corrosion around the sill area's or the rear arches. I have taken a photo of the underside of the floor so you can see how clean it really is.The boot floor is solid, the inner wings are solid. The interior is very clean, its completely standard and has never been messed with. The central locking still works off the key fob! There is only 1 key with the car, this is the remote one. The spare must have been lost many moons ago. The sunroof does not leak, I have only opened it fully once to see if it worked. All the controls work as they should. The engine bay is lovely and clean, I haven't replaced the battery myself but I was told by the previous owner that it wasn't fitted long ago. Please contact me if you would like to know anything else, ask as many questions as you want! I can send further photos if requested. Alex
