1996 XJS celebration 4.0 litre convertible. An outstanding classic with carnival red metallic coachwork and oatmeal hide interior.
As I am sure you know, this is the 4l straight 6 AJ16 engine: the final incarnation and by far and away the best of both model and engine during its long production prior to the XK launch.
75,500 miles with a full service history mainly Jaguar 21 stamps in the book. A fresh MOT will be done prior to collection.
4 Previous owners, one from 1998 to 2014
Every invoice and MOT available to see since 1998, the history file takes half an hour to read properly.
Rustproof with waxoyl in 2006..
Suspension restoration on vehicle upgrade at 64,000 miles by Noel Wilkins engineering (KWE) in 2011 with certificates and invoice showing a £14,000 pound spend. Reversing Sensors fitted. The car drives superbly.
Wood and leather adjustable steering wheel, electrical adjusted seats, embossed Celebration Jaguar emblem on the front and the rear seats, twin air bags, remote alarm, central deadlocking, 16 inch reconditioned Celebration diamond cut alloys, climate controlled air conditioning, all drivers hand books and literature with the vehicle.
Valuable Jaguar related number plate N800CAT is included in the sale.
This car was featured in classic car weekly newspaper in October 2014 and these are some of the quotes from that article. “Maybe too immaculate to use too often” “this 4.0 litre convertible model is outstanding in every respect” “this is an XJS at its best”
Only issues are a minute stone chip on front wing a small hole in driver’s side carpet (both very minor) and the 6 CD stacker is missing.
A unique and rare classic car in superb condition which represents a very sound investment as the best XJSs prices are rising continuously year on year. I just love it, but do not use it, I have only done 900 miles in it, so it is time to let it go.
Happy to answer any questions honestly and fully, but this is one of the best of the most sought after XJS models. Call to discuss offers near to £30,000+ agreed insurance value.
