1990 Mazda rx7 turbo 2 coupe For Sale
So the time has come to start looking at shifting on my rx7 fc turbo coupe.
she has had so much work done over the last 5 years and the build list will follow after a bit of history on the car :)
i bought the car back in 2015. i used the car as a daily vehicle for less than a year. Within that year i fitted polybush suspension, parts shop max solid bushes and adjustable arms as well as a few other other things.
unfortunately in 2016 the main chassis loom shorted on a wet day and caused extensive melting of the wires. The car was then taken off the road, while i sourced a new loom, this took quite some time!! the car was off the road for around 3 years and lots of other work was done on the car in this time.
all rust was repaired - the rust was mainly on the inner floor of the passenger side, with a small amount on the drivers side floor too. The floor was completely stripped, new seam seal was applied and then the floor was zinc sprayed and epoxy coated with "rust" brand epoxy. All sills and chassis legs were cavity waxed in the process.
the rear end was fully stripped and rebuilt with the metal of the chassis being stripped back and repainted in matt black over zinc spray primer and then finished with wax oil. Everything i took off the car was sandbalsted and re-powder coated in black, this included; Rear suspension, exhaust heat shields, fuel tank straps, brackectry & more.
the front has also had the cross member and all brackets re-powder coated, along with the chassis legs being stripped back of any dirt & surface rust and then recoated.
this car is extrmely solid with no rust that i am aware of! As you can see above i have done everything i can to keep her clean and rust free!
the car was put back on the road in 2018 and has had an mot since, the current mot runs until october this year. I'm confident the car will pass it's next mot as well.

i'm sure i've missed other stuff but thats what i have atm.
i have literally so many spares - looms, turbos, manifolds, electric relays and coil packs etc! All going with the car!
my plan was to use it as a track toy but never got round to it. I've not drifted it as i've put so much time and money in i really couldn't bring my self to slide it and risk damaging panels etc as these are so rare now
now the question that every one asks! The engine does start hot and cold but i had it compression tested at rotary motion and it was low 6's across the board :(
the price i'm looking for is £12k. As you can see in the price list above a lot of time and money has been spent on the car and it is an extremely solid shell!!! plus a coupe, which is incredibly hard to come by these days!
i would be willing to do a few different prices if people want the car with out a few bits as follows -
10k with out mazda speed seats - not for every one and arent great if you're tall.
11k with out work wheels
9k with out both seats and wheels
i would be willing to drop other parts if i believe them to be easy for me to shift on as i dont want to be stuck with parts i can't sell.
