This Prelude was purchased by my family from Five Star Honda in 1995. It was driven back and has lived in the same garage since then. Originally a demo, it has had the same owner from 1995 til April 2020.
Run by a very fastidious architect owner, the car has full service history, being maintained by Paul Matty Sports Cars, Bromsgrove for the last 20 years.
It has the best combination of the 4th Generation 183BHP VTEC engine and 5 speed manual gearbox - autos loose power - and gives good performance and is lively to drive.
At 110,000 this Prelude drives very well, and continues to give fantastic reliability, always know to these Japanese built 90's Hondas.
The bodywork shows no sign of rust, and is in good presentable condition. There are currently no MOT advisories regarding rust or rot.
It is not immaculate and shows stone chips on the bonnet on very close inspection, and light scratches to the rear spoiler.
The standard Honda alloys are very presentable, but could do with refurbishment to make perfect.
The interior is in good condition, showing just small signs of its 25 year's use - though the 'cup holder' lid has sheered off.
The car is totally standard and has not been modified.
On the downside, the four wheel steering works spasmodically - though this does not affect the overall steering and handling of the car.
It has recently had a brand new clutch fitted about 3000 miles ago, and also work carried out on an inner driveshaft gaiter.
This Prelude was to be kept indefinitely, but is offered for sale due to the recent passing of its elderly owner.
