This is a genuine barn find from a deceased estate that despite the intention of buying only one bike I ended up with six! Just felt like a rare situation where some bikes had hardly been used, original, history, etc. It was like Christmas morning!
Also, just want to state that I am not a dealer and just a petrolhead with a love of classic cars and bikes.
The seller believes the bike is a 1974 and the engine and frame numbers 741** and 741** make this possibly a 75 or 76 but I am no expert and would ask you to make your own enquires. Appears to be matching engine and numbers and the engine turns over easily and appears to have good compression. Mileage shows 15198 but cannot be guaranteed. REG NO GFG15N
The person selling the bike on behalf of the deceased family advised that this bike was raced in the Manx GP back in the 1970's but I have no proof of this but judging by the work done to the bike then it wasn't done half hearted.
The amount of original and race parts is superb and would easily allow a restoration to either race or road specification. It's a joy working through the boxes or parts. Original, boxed race chains, Suzuki boxed and bagged parts, etc, etc.
The original tank is missing the key but it may follow as the seller may follow this on. The sale also includes an additional large capacity tank that I believe is alloy and in great or even unused condition.
I believe all the parts remain to return it to its original spec and the only thing for definitely is a missing left silencer, this the seller says was lost during competing at the Manx. I cannot guarantee everything is present so please inspect the images and if you want any further advice then please ask.
The bike comes with no documents as they could not be located but it anything is found they will follow.
Any questions then please contact me and viewing welcomed.
