1969 AJS 250 CSR

Registered on the 24th January 1969 and showing 15,396 miles, this lovely AJS has had 8 owners over the last 51 years and is in very good all-round condition and running and riding very well indeed.

She is a lovely easy starting bike; going first or second kick and benefits from a recent new battery and new Amal Mark 1 carburettor and rides really well and sounds just superb. The bike has an easy gear-change and goes (and stops) very well. This in part, is due to the fact that she is fitted with a Gammatronix electronic ignition system which means no points to adjust and as a result the bike is very easy to start and is a nice smooth ride and makes for an easy life.

She has also recently had a new set of handlebars, control levers, fuel taps and fuel lines and has been fully serviced and comes with an attachment and charger for the battery when the bike is not in use.

Classed as Historic; so MOT and Tax exempt, it comes with a folder full of receipts, the original owners manual and the V5 is in my name.

This AJS Lightweight represents fantastic value at £2,450 and an inexpensive route into classic British bikes and this is a little gem of a bike, which is ready to give many years service and would be perfect for a Sunday run through the lanes or a club run out.

A video of the bike running can be shared -just message me and I will send you the link.

If you send me your email address I am happy to send you high-res images of the bike via a We Transfer link.

Viewing most welcome (social distancing to be strictly adhered to) near Henley-on-Thames: RG9 5NB and I can help with courier/ or delivery if required, again observing strict social distancing practices.
