Delage cars were among the finest French automobiles and in 1932 the manufacturer launched the D6-11 to appeal to a less exclusive clientele than its prestigious 8-cylinder versions. With its almost square 6-cylinder 2-litre engine, it was the first Delage having a front suspension with independent wheels. True to its brand strapline "Fast and quiet, it goes", this model has managed to follow its sister's footsteps and stood out from the crowd in the most beautiful concours d'elegance events at that time.
Purchased from a local postman who has owned it since 1953, this car joined the Trigano collection in 1971 and was completely restored. Contrary to the habits of the time when sedans had antagonist or "suicide" doors, this particular one has four doors opening in the "right" direction, a undeniable sign of innovation. It is in fact worth mentioning that a similar example is currently at the Mulhouse museum, under the Schlumpf collection. Its high grille surrounded by two large headlights and low windshield provides the car with a highly elegant classic look. Stretched with beige fabric, the interior is very neat and includes a wooden dashboard with Jaeger instruments. It currently has a mileage of 33, 330 km and overall, the car is in satisfactory condition.
It is indeed a worthy ambassador of one of the most admired French brands.

We inform buyers that all the vehicles in the collection have been little used during the last years as they are part of a museum collection. They are sold as presented and therefore require recommissioning before being driven on the public roads.

Estimate: 18 000 - 24 000 €
