1968 Triumph Herald Wedgewood Blue SOLD
Having said that, the Herald has had a fair amount of attention in the past few years prior to being laid up, including :
New points, plugs, coil, condensor, carburettor strip and clean, new needle valve, reconditioned petrol pump , new starter motor, new passenger side brake caliper, new accelerator cable, some new hoses, new dynamo brushes, new door seals, new battery this year. Five very good Firestone tyres 175x13. As well as the rather nice wooden steering wheel in the photos, the original wheel is included too so it can be returned to original appearance if required.
The interior is in very good condition, the chromework is fair at best but as a project to return to A1 condition, this has got to be a really good starting point. You can see exactly what you're getting and it's only a plethora of older projects to finish and upcoming retirement that is leading to this very appealing little car being offered for sale. Fantastic turning circle, as you probably know and great parts availability. I've been working on these Triumph engines for 43 years now but we need to reduce the number of vehicles we have and it will be several years at least before I could give this car the attention it deserves. Hopefully someone will want to give it a new home and I've tried to make it as attractive a price as possible.
If phoning, please try to avoid during the day on Wed-Fri as I can't answer the phone while at work due to the nature of the job but I'd be delighted to hear from you at all other times. Located just off the A75 at Dumfries - plenty of room for you to bring your trailer !
