1994 VW Corrado VR6 Blackberry Metallic & Beige Leather For Sale
Blackberry Metallic with Beige Leather Interior this car has been owned by my brother since 1999 A4 folder full of bills and previous tax disc's needless to say the car has a full service history and has undergone a full mechanical and body restoration at a cost of £8.8K in 2017/2018. Car was registered by a VW dealer and then sold at 6 months old to the 1 and only previous keeper - Mr Ken Owen. He worked in Lancashire but lived in North Wales and the car was serviced for the first 6 years of its life by its supplying dealer or the local VW Main Dealer near to Mr Owen's home.(Pentraeth Automotive) It was during this time that i was working for Pentraeth Automotive in there Renault dealership in Llandudno and you can only imagine my surprise when I got the opportunity to value the Corrado as a PX against a new Clio !! Needless to say a deal was reached but only by persuading my then boss to let my brother buy the Corrado for £500 more than the trade bids I had been offered ie £7500 vice the £7k I'd been offered trade. As part of the extensive history I still have copies of these sales invoices both of me taking the car in part exchange and then selling on to my brother. My brother had the Corrado as his main car up until he left the RAF 7 years ago. the Corrado was used on a daily basis on his commute to work. It was serviced without fail when required and whatever needed doing was done no arguments. Late on 2014 the heater matrix gave up on the car and the old girl was parked up and not used for a couple of years which can be seen by the gap in the MOT history 2014 - 2018. Having owned the Corrado then for a number of years the car was in need of being restored, there was discussions of selling as it lay but with no MOT and in need of both mechanical and external restoration the fear was that the car would be bought and then broken up as a parts car. With that thought in mind my brother decided to get the car back on the road and also carry out a full glass out respray. Again cost was not an issue and the bills for these works came to £7K and then a further £1800 for the respray (mates rates), mechanical restoration and some choice upgrades such as the brand new KW V1 suspension and complete Super Pro bush kit. The front wings were also professionally restored by Rotbox Rustorations at a cost of £250 each and if you go to their site those are the actual wings from this car. So after all this work and having spent thousands on the car you can see that the old girl has barely been used and it has now come to the stage for the car to be offered to its next owner. The car had a full engine rebuild in Nov 2006, which included a replacement block that was re-bored and then fitted with new pistons, bearings, re-ground crank etc, head was rebuilt with new valves and camshafts and the timing chains were replaced. Unfortunately though there are no bills for these works but the cost was circa £3500 and to be fair the proof really is in the pudding in the way car runs i:e superbly. Up to you on whether you believe us or not but this is a genuine sale and there really is no point in misleading any potential new owner. So if you are looking for a very clean, cared for low ownership Corrado then this is the one for you. I would say that the car is 90% there, it needs some TLC on the inside and detailing under the bonnet to be truly mint. The price is a guide and is negotiable, honestly it depends more on the type of person that wants to buy the car. If we like you and are assured that the car will be looked after and further improved on that will go a long way to securing a deal.
