BSA A65T Thunderbolt, 1970 one of the last of the pre OiF models.
Recent improvements have been new primary chain, electronic ignition, silencers and carburettor.
I bought the machine as a non-runner in 1983 and completed a full overhaul and refurbishment including the fitting of a spin-off oil filter. It has been in regular use ever since, with the exception of a few gap years when I used different bikes.
It starts easily, runs well, stops very well and is comfortable to ride. The only time it failed on the road resulting in a recovery, was a split in the petrol tank.
This original machine ( with matching frame and engine numbers ), is not a concours model but is neat and tidy with 'usage' marks on it. It is one that you can joyfully ride in any weathers and simply wipe down with a cloth on return.
Being sold, as my age is telling me that it's a bit too heavy to manoeuvre around the garage, and out and about to put onto the prop stand.
