The time has come to sell my superb Mk 3 1275 Cooper S. This is one of the rare 792 RHD cars produced for the Home market. This is a "matching numbers" car and it's details are known to the Mini Cooper Register.
First registered on the 1st August 1971 and only three owners in the last 49 years.
The car retains its correct Hydrolastic suspension and is mainly in standard trim, although the car was fitted with an alternator (original dynamo available with the car)
The previous owner (who had the car for 10 years) had the bodywork restored in 2015, this included new wings and replacement of both sills. a new rear subframe was fitted with new/refurbished components. The underside is painted in body colour. The engine has previously been rebuilt and shows excellent oil pressure. The original Dark Blue interior is in very good condition and has recently been fitted with new door cards and new carpets. The under-bonnet area has been detailed to a very high standard.
During the past 12 months the following work has been completed;
New high capacity radiator fitted with all new hoses
New brake master cylinder
Distributor rebuilt/fitted with electronic ignition
New oil cooler
New front discs/pads and callipers
New alloy rear brake drums
Professionally restored/rebuilt HS2 carburettors
The car is now ready to provide many years of classic Cooper S motoring!
The last of the Mini Cooper 1275 ?S?, the MK3 is one of the rarest versions. This dream machine is finished in iconic red, with black interior. The car has been recently refurbished with new sills.....
