Beautifully original and sympathetically maintained 1970 BMC Cotswold 250JU for sale. This is an all original 50 year old vehicle, its a real head turner, a true vintage camper van in every way. We have owned this BMC Cotswold for three years and have carried out quite a few updates whilst taking nothing away from the originality of the vehicle, its the kind of vehicle that puts a huge smile on your face whenever you get behind the wheel.

The engine is the original 1600cc Petrol engine which was completely refurbished in 2017 by the previous owner and has been maintained and serviced regularly since we took ownership, the engine runs really well. The only updates we have added to the cab are a rear view camera and a retro style radio which has DAB as well as USB and GPS connectivity.

We have professionally restored the seating and flooring covers. The seating to the front and rear replicates original Morris style seating, its very high quality and looks excellent.

There is a leisure battery and an electric hookup point which will power the sockets and fridge and there is a gas supply which provides gas to the cooker. There is a single power socket in the cab and a single and double power socket to the living area as well as two usb ports.

The kitchen area contains an original gas oven and sink, with a new fridge as well as plenty of storage.

The bathroom is compact and can be partitioned off with its original centre folding door. The bathroom area has a small bowl type sink, and new Thetford cassette wc which neatly tucks away into its own storage area. The bathroom area also has a mirrored wall mounted storage unit.

There are two sofas to the rear of the living area with a table. The table can be quickly and easily removed and the two sofas can be neatly turned into a large double bed. We have added Italian cassette solar split blackout / insect blinds to all rear windows. These tastefully compliment the the 1970s van.

Included in the sale is the original clip-on awning.

The van also has a wardrobe and ample over cab storage. There are two gas lamps and a gas outlet which could connect to a gas fire (we have never used them). The van is also equipped with a hot air heating system. We have also added high quality removable carpeted mats to the living area which were made to measure by bestbind.

A full sized waterproof vehicle cover in also included in the sale which neatly packs away into its own bag and keeps the vehicle clean and dry when not being used.

The vehicle has masses of history, its been featured on TV and in magazines, it includes 50 years of paperwork, service history, owners manual, receipts and adverts.

Viewing is strongly recommended, this is a completely unique and rare example of a 100% British built camper van in excellent condition.

The van is located in Stafford, Staffordshire.
