1937 Austin 7 - Early Production Example, fully restored For Sale by Auction

Morris Leslie Classic Auctions is delighted to bring to you this Early Production Example, fully restored 1937 Austin 7 to be sold via online auction, Saturday 22nd August 2020. SPECIFICATION Reg: ASV910 Type: 4dr Saloon Registered: Manu 1937 Odometer: 14,740 miles Not Checked Transmission: Manual Fuel Type: Petrol Colour: Maroon/black Former Keepers: 4 ESTIMATE £5000 - £7000 Chassis number C - RV10225 - launched on September 7th 1937 and named "The Big Seven" due to its larger 900cc engine (as opposed to the "Baby Seven" with a 750cc engine) and having the body of an Austin 10 but with a smaller luggage compartment. The Big Seven had "Easy Clean" road wheels and Girling brakes fitted. The car was an unsuccessful attempt to bridge the gap between "Baby Seven" and "Ten" with only around 9000 units sold before the car was dropped from the Austin range in early 1939. Thus making these cars quite rare and seldom available on todays market. This particular early production example was the subject of an earlier restoration during the 1990's with a photographic record included along with a selection of previous MOT test certificates and handbooks. Morris Leslie Auctions next Classic Vehicle Auction takes place Saturday 22nd August 2020 at 11am live online. All items will be sold via LIVE ONLINE BIDDING ONLY.
