What can I say, I've had this car since 1998 with 500 miles on the clock and kept it all this time because simply ..its fabulous to drive. The 1998cc torgue-y engine, combined with 6-speeds, plus that slightly passive-steer rear axle means it goes around corners like no other. And frankly, modern cars just don't do the hot-hatch look with quite as much style as a 80/90's Peugeot.
But I just don't get out so much anymore so she's SORN - but MOT-ed in July '20 - and I need the garage space now.
The 83K miles are virtually all mine, with regular servicing and I have a log book and garage records going back 22 years. No major work except a Cambelt and Cyclinder Head replacement in 2013 (71k mls). Apart from a new exhaust, everything else is original, no mods just classic style. I know the battery drains if its left alone for a long time.
Body work is pretty good, some stone chips, paint shines really well. There's one noticeable crease need the right rear lights, where I was clipped, which can probably be easily pulled, but I've not got round to it.
Interior in half-leather with jazzy yellow highlights is in really good condition (for its age). Stereo, sounds really good. AC is not working but maybe just needs gassing.
I've an original roof rack for the car and two front fairing/skirt extensions that I never fitted but would look good.
So that's it, pictures speak volumes I hope. Reasonable price asked for a fuss free, as seen, sale to someone who will take care and genuinely enjoy this fantastic motor.
For sale is a rare surviving example of a 306 1.8 XT with the manual gearbox. First generation 306s are rare cars these days anyway as most were sacrificed to the scrappage scheme. However as only.....
