This is an extremely clean and tidy Morris Minor Convertible. It comes with a complete photographic restoration history.
As can be seen from the list of new parts the car has had, this car is clearly in fine running order and after a test drive completed today in this lovely sunshine I can honestly say it drives wonderfully and was a total pleasure.
Here is a list of recent work done to the car:
- reconditioned gearbox
- N.O.S. Clutch
- new master cylinder
- all-new brake drums, shoes, cylinders, flexi-hoses and new handbrake cables
- silicone brake fluid
- new differential
- new distributor
- new speedo cable
- reconditioned carburettor
- new stainless steel exhaust
- reconditioned brake and clutch pedals
- new front tie bars and polybushes
- new rear spring polybushes
- new Morris Minor mats
- new silicone top + bottom radiator hose
- new mohair roof
- new Bridgestone tyres
- new door mirrors
- new boot carpet
- new chrome wheel hubcaps
That's all I can fit in because the list goes on...
The four-cylinder 1100cc engine and 4-speed manual gearbox both deliver excellently, and the beautifully presented engine bay is in keeping with the overall outstanding appearance of the car, both inside and out. The interior is very clean and tidy, and as mentioned the brand new mohair roof gives no cause for complaint. In fact, the mohair roof is dark blue, and hence matches the bodywork perfectly.
The tyres, chromework, fittings, etc - everything about this desirable genuine convertible is in remarkably good condition.
A very comfortable and enjoyable classic car to take out on the road with the roof down.
