This car is a 1600 disc brake model built in 1960 and first registered Jan 1961 with confirming heritage certificate. It was taken of the road in 1974 and stored for over 40 years A substantial rebuild has been carried out 2018/9 and since has covered less than 20miles.
The rebuild includes;
Body off chassis, restored and repainted in original Iris blue cellulose. Chassis cleaned and repainted. All new chrome bumpers and badges. New hood.
Front and rear suspension and braking system rebuilt with new bushes, wheel bearings, brake discs, callipers, rear cylinders, brake hoses and pipes.
Engine rebuilt with +30 pistons -10 crank, new oil pump and internal filter, new valve gear and cam followers, new clutch, starter, stainless steel exhaust and electronic distributor.
New internal trim, carpets and leather seat covers with blue piping. New hood and 5 tyres.
There are a few upgrades, 12 volt battery with isolation switch, alternator, adjustable rear telescopic shocks and factory spec front antiroll bar, seat belts.
I think that covers most things.
The reason for sale is that my wife does not like classic cars so it will not get used and I want another project.
The car is located in North Devon near Bideford
This is my MGA MK1 1956 ROADSTER restoration project, it is in London and has come from the good old USA and is a restoration project ...it has fibreglass wings which I guess are for making it lighter,.....
