Last of the air-cooled Porsche 911 Carrera (993) Coupe Tiptronic

Price: €55,993 Year: 1994 Kilometers: 113,186

History File - Registered new on the 3rd of March 1994 by Porsche Zentrum Hamburg, this particular example has covered a documented 113k kilometers with three former German keepers before landing in the UK between 2002 and 2019. During the cars 17 year UK tenure, it covered a mere 17k kilometers where it also lay in storage for almost 10 years. The car returned to Germany in early 2019 where a gradual 18 month recommissioning took place which now offers any new potential owner endorsed 911 fun, fun, fun. A comprehensive history folder holds supporting Porsche Main Dealer stamped entries along with UK MOT certificates confirming the cars Island period, plus documented invoices showing the 2019/2020 re-commissioning phase. This is a lovely 993 example which is becoming difficult to find with such exceptional provenance.

Exterior - The iconic Porsche 911 has gained legendary status since its debut in 1963, and the design lines of the 993 are for many enthusiasts and collectors, simply the best looking model available. Revised in 1994 with a new front and rear end, the last of the air-cooled models is where the factory got it just right! This outstanding Carrera Coupe is finished in factory original Midnight Blue Metallic, (Code 39C); the paint finish is now nicely presented following detailing by our local specialist “JK Details”. Some paint has been applied in accordance with the recommissioning mentioned and has now offered the car a fresh lease of life. All original panels are completely undamaged and only close scrutiny will reveal very light areas of degradation which are completely commensurate with the cars age. Thorough preparation has taken place to completely refresh the car including dry ice cleaning from underneath.

Interior – Striking hand-crafted electric height and lumbar leather seats finished in Midnight Blue (FJ) are an invitation few can resist, especially with the option of heated seats for both driver and passenger (138/340). Having covered such low kilometers, the supportive seats are in fine condition with firm seat structure and supple leather. One tiny scratch mark is evident behind the passenger side rear seat. The specification is nicely balanced with combined, recently serviced ice cold air conditioning (573) and factory fitted electric sunroof (650), accompanied with electric windows and exterior mirrors. The tightly grouped overlapping layout of the five gauges, with centre placed tachometer, are a reminder to the 911’s racing heritage. A nice bonus is the original Porsche boxed air compressor placed neatly in the boot. An appealing and surprisingly practical Porsche engineered cabin.

Engine & Transmission - The legendary 3600 cubic engine in this 911 develops a healthy 272ps with a top speed of 265 km/h in Tiptronic guise, only 5km/h less than its manual sibling. The 4 speed Tiptronic gearbox offers an alternative but not to be under estimated driving style. The gearbox changes both up down in a smooth and correct manner. Lifting the engine lid reveals a clean engine bay fitting with cars history file and 26 year life span. A combination of official German and UK Porsche service stamps, accompanied by specialist maintenance, make good reading for any potential new owner.

Wheels, Tyres & Brakes – In accordance with the extensive 18 month recommissioning period, the car has received a complete brake over-hall, including ABS sensors and module. Hankook Ventis V12 255 ZR17 (rear) and 205 ZR17 (front) tyres cover the original factory 5 spoke alloys. Having passed the strict German TÜV test in July 2020, it confirms that the new owner will have plenty of all-round tread to play with. Both front alloys do bare slight, but not deep scars, which is depicted accordingly.
