2000 Ducati M900Sie For Sale
Price Reduction I am reducing the price by £400 from the original of £4750 to £4350 as I would like to sell the bike. Although I have had a few tentative enquiries from people and a couple from dealers I have had nothing concrete, and as I mentioned, I would like to sell so have reduced the price. I have for sale my 2000 Ducati Monster M900Sie, I have not used it a great deal since buying it but that is not the reason for selling. It has done 28,943 miles, was MOT’d on August 6th 2020 and has only done 3 miles back from the MOT station. It failed initially on a defective stoplight switch , (I checked everything prior to leaving house for the mot and everything was working before I set off ???), anyway, once readjusted it worked and was passed. The bike is the “S” model of the M900ie range and as such differs from the M900 by being fitted with a host of extras from the factory, if I have got them incorrect I apologise and am happy to be corrected. The differing parts of the S are; • Fully adjustable Showa forks • Fully adjustable Ohlins Remote Reservoir Rear Shock • Cockpit Fairing • Aluminium Handlebars • Carbon Fibre Front Mudguard • Carbon Fibre Rear Hugger • Carbon Fibre Exhaust Heel Guards • Alloy Swinging Arm • Rubber covered Footrests • A pillion Seat Cover • Fully Floating Rear calliper • It is even still fitted with the, unique to the S, small mudflap under the under the swinging arm. It also still has It’s original tool kit under the seat, typical modern day tool kit with not much in it, but does still include the wire helmet lock. The bike is in very nice original condition, as can be seen in the pics, including original 'Mickey Mouse Ears Mirrors' it does have a Billet Sprocket Cover, the original cover comes with the bike should you wish to return it to standard, the side stand cut out switch has been removed to allow the bike to idle with the stand down, the switch and cable come with the bike to allow a return to standard should you wish, it's just plug and play! It is also fitted with a battery tender lead. The tyres are Pirelli Road Angels and fairly new with the rear measuring 5.3mm and the front 4.1mm. I have also just fitted a new OE Ducati Steel Clutch Basket about 8 miles ago as I thought the Alloy one fitted was showing signs of wear and I will include the rather substantial banjo shaped solid steel clutch basket holder, it's a beast, with the bike. As the bike is a 2000 model it is one of the first Fuel Injection Monsters and has the earlier twin clock dash which is less complicated and has none of the fragility of the later immobiliser / printed circuit dashes. I bought the bike from Carl Harrison of Harleston last year and they serviced it including belt change prior to delivery to me. In summary, it is a very nice bike in original condition, which has been well looked after, it does have a small mark or two commensurate with it's age, but any there are certainly do not detract from the look of the bike. It is a bike that has obviously been well looked after by previous owners, the previous owner before me had it 14 years, and I have tried to carry on that tradition. I looked at a number of M900 before finding and deciding on this one, and I am sure any prospective buyer would be happy with the bike. If you are looking for an original M900Sie or even a Monster to add your own personal touch to this bike may just fit the bill. I have It’s original PDI check paperwork, it is Datatagged, although I personally didn't register it. I have the V5 in my name, all mot's except 2008 & 2015, plenty of receipts etc. and I did a HPI check before purchasing but if you would like to do your own I am more than happy to supply any info necessary. I, thinking I may have to sell it, had looked at prices for a few months and figures were all over the place, from about £3,500 to over £5,000 for a standard M900, couldn't find any for the 'S' model, after giving some consideration l would like to ask £4,350 which I feel is about right given the bike's condition. There may cheaper ones about but the condition of this one is very, very nice and it runs beautifully. The bike is in really lovely condition, it took me a while, and a bit of travelling to find the right one, it is a great all rounder which is as comfortable touring , nicking down to the shops or scratching if you want to give it it's head. I have put a few pics up but have a good few more l can send if anyone is interested. By all means come and view the bike, or give me, Robert, a call or email I don’t bite and am quite happy to chat or answer ANY questions, condition, price etc., you may have. Any test ride would be allowed provided I have a large cash deposit in exchange, proof of ID and insurance which allows you to ride another vehicle fully comp. Sorry about the rules bit but I would not like to be messed about, just being careful and trying to make life simpler for both parties. I am happy to help with any courier should one be required. Thank you for looking.
