2004 JAGUAR XKR 4.2 SUPERCHARGED For Sale by Auction

Offered for sale at auction on 22nd September at Sandown Park Racecourse Esher KT10 9AJ The Jaguar XK8 was made from 1996 to 2014 in Coupé and Convertible body-styles, across two generations. The XK8 was introduced at the Geneva Motor Show in March 1996 and was last manufactured in July 2014. The first generation was marketed as the XK8, replacing the XJS and was Jaguar's first 8-cylinder model since the Daimler 250, introducing the Jaguar AJ-V8 engine. The second generation XK, noted for its aluminium monocoque bodyshell, was launched in 2006 for model year 2007. Both generations were marketed in performance variants, as the XKR. The last of this iconic shape in the form of the rarest model, the 4.2 Supercharged Convertible, Finished in Metallic Black Fleck with virtually perfect black mohair hood, and Charcoal leather seats. The car has virtually full main dealer service history and specialist Jaguar stamps, making 11 stamps in all. The car comes with both keys and also the green valet key, all the books and security codes and there are loose invoices for work done. The alloys are 20” BBS in good condition with the correct Dunlop sport tyres, and there is Jaguar Sat Nav, which works. The engine is silky smooth, with an understated V8 exhaust note-which is indicative of these supercharged supercars. The car is said to start with no fuss, no noise and the gearbox is smooth and changes up and down perfectly. Overall the bodywork is good for a Jaguar of this age, although, being a Jaguar there are blemishes ( which in no way detract from its superb lines). The car has just had a lubrication service, and another stamp in the service book, and an inspection which has given it the all clear. The car is being sold with the XKR number plate.
