1973 Stunning, restored Triumph 2000 estate For Sale
Sadly it is time to sell the best car I have ever owned. The reason for selling is that I have a young family and the lap belts fitted in the rear shouldn't be used with baby seats ideally and the way the Triumph is designed you cant fit three point seat belts in the back. I really am gutted but I guess I should have thought about it. Anyway about the car. Absolutely stunning and fully restored Triumph 2000 TC estate. Was fully restored and has been shown at Birmingham NEC. Restoration which was photographed is all on disc included a bare metal respray, finished in wonderful honeysuckle (looks like cream) outstanding finish, all chrome work, rubbers brightwork restored, interior restored, woodwork, carpets, upholstery, headliner etc. Spotless inside. Fitted with seatbelts throughout, classic look cd player and uprated speakers. The inside is fabulous. Mechanically the car is fantastic. Smooth through the four speed overdrive gearbox, rear diff and twin su hs6 carbs refurbished recently, modern oil filter, electric fan, high performance coil, bilstein uprated adjustable shocks and springs, new calipers and green stuff pads. Power steering, electronic ignition. The drive is fantastic. Within the last two months fully serviced, full fluid change, oil and filter, coolant, ngk plugs, ht leads, distributor, rotor arm, fuel pump, battery, performance coil, carbs professionally set up and tuned. Rear diff restored, profshaft, overdrive serviced and solenoid replaced, wheel cylinders replaced last year. Fitted with a full length stainless steel sports exhaust two months ago which makes a huge difference. Sounds wonderful pulls and drives brilliantly. Uprated halogen lights, peep mirror, bushes and much more I have probably forgotten. Fantastic looking minilites in grey with white walls, again spotless. History and receipts in file, you will see by the Mots it has covered very few miles over the last few years and will be sold with 12 months mot. The car is wonderful, extremely rare and one of the best Triumph 2000 estates out there the only fault I am aware of is an oil leak which I'm guessing is either the rear oil seal or from the gearbox. Either way it's not too bad and makes no difference to how the car drives. If you are a classic car enthusiast I imagine you are used to them dropping a little oil. It looses no water and the temperature gauge is always where it should be. It's also surprisingly good on fuel 30 plus ! handles better than most modern cars and has a great turn of speed. I am a classic car enthusiast and have always owned classic cars. I am an honest seller and am happy to say that everyone who has bought cars off me in the past have been over the moon with them. I clean my cars religiously and my Triumph looks wonderful and will do for the new owner. Genuinely gutted to be moving it on but it just will not work with my three kids and German Shepherd (not that he has been in it) no matter how hard I try to convince myself it will. My loss is someone's gain. Please so tyre kickers or dreamers. I dont have the time. Will require a deposit and funds in full before it goes anywhere. Feel free to give me a call, message, email. This is a fantastic car that is very rare and an appreciating classic.
