So here is a very desirable 1964 Volvo P1800 S with the famous early "Cow Horn" bumpers. A very interesting car in cherry red with black interior.

Registered on the 18/08/1964.

This is a solid usable car that needs some cosmetic attention if required.

It runs and drives really well, the engine is quiet and pulls really well through the gears. The gearbox is precise and there are no crunches from any of the synchro's up or down the box.

The paintwork is presentable but does look better in the pictures than it actually is!! It has obviously had some localised repairs done over the years and the paintwork has some colour inconsistencies across a few of the panels. Everything is up together but could be improved with a respray if you prefer everything mint condition. Underneath looks solid, it has had some welding done to a decent standard and has had lots of new parts like the fuel tank, calipers, water pump, brakes, exhaust, steering rack etc....

The interior is ok but again would benefit from some attention, a few cracks in the plastic dash, plastic split on seats, carpets lost some colour etc....however starts first flick of the key....some rubber window seals are cracked and perished....

Chrome all decent, wheels and tyres good. Headlining decent

It is showing 3 owners from new! The previous owner has owned the car since 2008.

The registration number is showing on HPI as an insurance write off in 2005, however I think it is an administration error by HPI as it says it was on a Jensen Healey in 2005!! - It is also showing finance outstanding on a "digger" a "router" and a "dumper" truck against the VIN which is only 5 numbers....I'm happy to show any potential purchaser this, however I'm pretty sure it is not for this car.

An iconic car in solid presentable condition, The MOT ran out in 2018 as it's been stored but everything works and I don't see any reason why it wouldn't go through another....

Please don't expect a £30k car for £16,995 - an average usable car is between £20k - £25k now and a mint one upwards of £30k.......this car could be just used as is and improve over time......
