Here is my Fantic Motor TI in metallic Cherry Red.
This is the high performance SP6 6 speed gearbox model with the SP aluminium engine barrel, high compression SP head and Dellorto 19mm carburettor.
Not to be confused with the much slower 4 speed iron barrel engine that had a habit of overheating and trashing the piston rings.
V5C in my name on a T plate with two previous UK owners.
Bike originally came from Portugal and had been restored with a powder coated frame, the tank, mudguards and side panels were repainted, new alloy wheel rims, polished outer crankcase shells etc.
It has the correct UK spec rear light and UK headlight with dipped and main beam.
During lockdown I carried out a complete strip down to the bare frame and then rebuilt the bike as follows;
new crankcase bearings, seals and gaskets
new clutch
new 12 volt electronic ignition system
new light/horn/kill switch
new Continental tyres
new EBC brake shoes
new sprockets and gold chain
fitted mph speedo
refurbished forks with new bushes
Less than 300 miles completed since the rebuild, just a few local rides, gently for the first 100 miles or so just to make sure everything was OK.

Barrel is still on the original 38.8mm bore, hone markings still clearly visible, piston has had her skirt lifted (ooh err missus!) on the inlet side, new small end bearing, gudgeon pin and clips were fitted when the engine was reassembled.

The TI is in lovely condition with just a few tiny chips on the front of the petrol tank and a small crack on the front mudguard. The tank has some very slight fading (only visible in certain light) that looks like it has been overfilled and petrol has run down the sides. I haven't tried to rectify any of this as I didn't want it to look 'bodged'.

MOT exempt and registered as a historic vehicle so tax is free.

There is a superb article online by Mark Daniels about the Fantic TI (search for Fantic TI "The Ultimate Weapon'), although this is mainly about the lesser powered iron barrel engine, most of it is relevant. "The sound of a TI on throttle was characterised by a haunting Banshee howl as the revs soared to the motor's astronomical capability!"

Bike is in the northwest of Scotland but I am happy to recommend trusted bike couriers who will deliver to the south of England or Wales for around £250 maximum.

Any questions, feel free to ask.
