For sale I have my fantastic 1971 Morris Mini Van fully restored in a Cooper-esque style. The van was professionally restored in 2014 by Little Garage Classics in Halifax, the restoration was extensive and included:

• Front floors, inner and outer sills, heel board
• Refurbished front and rear subframes
• New front wings, front panel, A Panels, re-skinned doors, lower rear quarter repairs, new inner wheelarches, new drip rails, new door hinges
• 1275cc A+ Series engine fitted (from a low-mileage, one owner Mini British Open Classic). Engine was stripped, checked, Piper 270 cam fitted, unleaded head, rebuilt HIF carb, Maniflow exhaust system, electronic ignition, new stainless steel fuel tank, new fuel lines, new clutch… the list goes on and on!
• All new brakes (drums all round), brake and clutch cylinders replaced with new brake lines)
• Radius arms reconditioned
• Wiring loom checked and re-taped
• New front and rear lights, new bumpers
• Formula Speedwell steering wheel fitted, along with Speedwell bucket seats. New maroon door cards and black dash trim.
• New windscreen, new window seals all round & door seals.

The van was upturned and painted with rust-proof primer before being painted underneath using Epoxy Mastic – very expensive stuff! As mentioned, it had complete floors, sills, heel board. The loadbay is all nice and solid (again, all scraped down and repainted), and there are no structural issues.

The van has been painted professionally in 2k Almond Green, with Old English White roof. The Cooper rims were painted at the same time as the van so the colour matches the roof, and new hubcaps are fitted.

Mechanically, the van runs great, it’s probably covered less than 2000 miles since it was put back on the road. The A+ engine was from a very low-mileage, one owner Rover Mini British Open Classic. The Piper 270 cam makes it good fun. Everything has been replaced, with a brand new stainless steel fuel tank, new fuel lines, new sender, rebuilt carb, Maniflow exhaust. The electrics are all functioning.

The van is tax and MOT exempt however it's been MOT'ed for peace of mind. This runs out 2/06/21, no advisories! Its also just had a comprehensive service, new plugs, K&N air filter etc, so it runs great.

Finally its had 4 brand new Yokohama A032 tyres fitted so its all ready to be enjoyed for the summer!! The van has never been driven in the wet, both myself and the previous owner have kept it in dry storage and it only comes out on dry days.

If you have any questions please contact me, I’m more than happy to answer any questions you may have, I am also happy to have viewings as long as we respect social distancing rules.

Listed as a van on V5 so usable as advertising for a business or just to enjoy.

Many thanks for viewing.
