Bike was built in 1959 to compete in the 1960 IoM TT. We understand the bike finished 14th in class, without any crashes or issues.
She was completely rebuilt over the period of 2008 to 2014, all parts used were genuine Matchless, the majority acquired from the AJS & Matchless Owners Club Parts Service. All receipts etc to hand. Only departure from original condition is that the frame was plastic coated. Frame number can still be seen.
Bike is black, with red coach line around the chrome tank and red trim around black seat.
Since rebuild completion the bike has been ridden for just 25 miles, so the engine still needs its running-in completed. Is stored in my local bike mechanics heated workshop.
Bike runs very smoothly and sounds great.
She is in VGC but is not quite concours.
Selling now because my plans have changed. Have recently retired and had planned to become an active member of the East Suffolk branch of the AJS & Matchless Owners Club and ride out regularly with them. However, have now got my IAM Advanced Rider Certificate and instead, I plan to ride at 2/3 days per week for the Norfolk Blood Bikers. Any other spare time I have, I'll join in the Iceni (Norwich) branch of HOG ride-outs on my Harley Davidson Ultra tourer.
