The Tiger's inspiration came from the AC Cobra. Carroll Shelby reworked the Alpine's bodywork and fitted a 4.2L V8 engine of 260cc. Around 6,500 units were produced. The Tiger took part in many races and had the most competitive weight-to-power ratio. It was acquired by Hubert André 12 years ago and was already well prepared at the time to enter both the VHC and VHRS historic rallies with a German FIA Passport. A major mechanical restoration was carried out in 2010 and 2011, including the engine rebuilt and prepared to produce 350hp approximately, AP Racing brakes fitted, axles rebuilt and reinforced, suspensions prepared, short shock absorbers, approved racing fuel tank, aluminium radiator and stainless-steel exhaust. An important preparation was undertaken and the engine was completely rebuilt by the excellent Alfredo Sampaio in Le Mans. The running gear has been reviewed, redone and reinforced. Interior-wise, it is equipped with Sparco bucket seats, Sabelt harnesses and a fully homologated Matter roll bar. It will be delivered with its historical FFSA technical passport valid until 2026, which will give the future owner enough time to have fun at many historical events.
