Restored meticulously over past 9 years this a genuine WW2 Willys MB Jeep.
Very rare example where all body (201881), chassis (420797) and engine (MB 560363) numbers are matching date of delivery. Willys, unlike Ford, did not allocate matching numbers but sequential analysis shows originality. Believed to have passed to the Greek Army post war before it was imported into the UK around 1987.
The stated mileage is 2087 as indicated today, bound to be wrong! Expected zero reset after previous engine restoration.

Engine top and botton end inspected, cleaned and new Felpro gasket installed. Starts easily and pulls well in all gears and 2/4 wheel drive fully functional.
Correct combat rims and tyres - all 5
Fully functioning original 6V electrical system with completely replaced wiring including connecting the original trailer socket. New large capacity battery 2020.
Working Trico vacuum wipers with new blades and flexible pipes.
Extensively documented restoration to bare metal chassis body and nearly all components, chassis found to be excellent, only some small patches needed to tub/body after shot blasting but not extensive - amazing for 75 years old!
Windscreen replaced with correct legal windscreen laminated safety glass and with dated etchings - this is not the standard laminated safety glass offered generally.
All new brake lines, front and master cylinders
Correct Carter 539S carburettor and Autolite distributor and coil.
All new seat cushions -not in pictures (previous set available if desired)
