I have owned this Alpine MK 1 for the last 42 years and bought it from a car dealer back in 1978 after seeing the period advert of the car in a National newspaper. It is 1 of only 391 RHD Alpines built and it is believed only 200 Alpines remain world wide.

Several years ago, having completed a full restoration of my eType Roadster, I embarked on a full nut & bolt restoration of the Alpine which took 6 years and £10,000's to complete bringing the car to its current excellent condition.

It has the more powerful MK3 engine, the factory option Overdrive gearbox, and a few modern upgrades for safety and reliability eg; flashing indicators as well as working trafficators, a stainless steel exhaust, a backup electronic fuel pump, an electric fan and an Alternator. New bronze gear selection bushes were made and I re-instated the excellent column change exactly as it came from the factory instead of the non standard floor change so many Sunbeams have. The soft top / hood is neatly tucked behind the seats as are the side screens. It also has a bespoke tonneau cover and a period anti theft device.

The body was removed from the chassis, the chassis stripped and any rot replaced. The bodywork was completely restored from bare metal, repainted inside & out and the underside protected from stone chips. It has been rewired, re-trimmed, there is no rust or rot that these models suffer from and it starts on the button every time. The restoration is fully documented with photos and video.

The car is well known within the Sunbeam owners club (STAR) and local clubs, and has won several awards at various shows. It has been professionally assessed and has an agreed value insurance policy of £50,000.

I have hardly used the car these past few years so it's now time to let someone else enjoy cruising around with the top down doing your best Cary Grant impersonation.

Any inspection invited, come and check it out for yourself.
