The current owner and long time member of the UK Brough Club purchased this bike as a kit of parts in 2013 from another Brough Club member and collector. At this time it consisted of a frame numbered D1545 and a side valve JAP KT motor, wheels and various parts. The frame needed some repair but was complete with a UK V5 logbook stating the bike as a Brough with the registration number MPE 427 dating it to 1948.

Over the next few years the bike was assembled with many original parts including a correct 1925 gearbox, front forks and brakes. The side valve engine was replaced with a rebuilt overhead valve KTOR motor that had new cases.

Built to resemble a 1926 model the bike also acquired the period Nottingham ‘Brough’ type registration number TO 4906 that remains with it today.
Recognised by the Brough Club and on the their motorcycle register as an SS100 replica it has taken part in many club rallies and was present on the 100th Anniversary Rally in 2019, sadly the gearbox case broke and has now been replaced, however the original broken ’25 case is with the bike along with a period handle bar throttle twist grip should the new owner wish to convert it from the present lever mechanism.

A fabulous looking motorcycle and truly credible example it is in good working order with a fine patina, as it has continued to be in regular use. Given the current market value for genuine early SS100’s and also the value of project bikes ( If you can find one ! ) This is a great opportunity to purchase a real rider’s bike that has all the look and feel of an exotic pre War British V Twin. Many other replicas are not also not road registered.

It is supplied with the current UK V5C registration document and a history file with parts invoices and notes on the build.
