With an aching heart, i will have to let her go. Preparing for intercontinental house move next year. I own 3 bikes and only one is making the trip across the pond. Hard choice.

This Ducati is a very rare bike, supposedly only 150 made. This final GTS has factory installed Darmah bottom and 860 heads. Bigger crankpin than earlier 860/ 900's. 32 mm Dell Orto's. Bosch ignition. Lot's of bottom power, pulls like a train. Starts, idles and runs great.

I own this bike for over 15 years. The only time it ever let me down was because of a battery problem i caused myself. It now has an Odyssey in it. And in the unlikely case an Odyssey lets you down, you still have a kick starter to get you going.

The bike is a survivor, it has not been cosmetically overhauled. Some 'patina' on kickstarter and shifter. The engine is healthy, done by FTR Classic Motorsports a few years back. Last maintained by Back to Classics. All passed maintenance invoices come with the bike. Registered in The Netherlands, has a Dutch title.

The bike has stainless steel Campbells exhaust pipes, a popular mod from back in the day in the UK, where this bike probably originates from. It has the original Smiths gauges, showing ca. 26, 000 miles. New sprag clutch, new Ikon rear shocks. K&N air filters. Stainless steel brake lines. Aluminium Akront/ Morad rims with stainless spokes. Recent Bridgestone Battlax BT45.
Original stainless steel front mudguard, breather housing and grip for rear frame not installed, but do come with the bike. Original flimsy side stand also available.

What's missing? It doesn't have the original blinkers and spaghetti headlight mounts. I replaced 'm with Tomaselli ears and flex blinkers, then they got lost in another house move. Non-wired idiot lights. It doesn't have the original tank badges as they are made out of unobtainium. No key for steering lock, no seat lock.

Buyer has to arrange shipment.

The Darmah was born to respond to the commercial failure of the 860 GT of 1974, heir to the 750 GT of 1971, designed by Giorgetto Giugiaro and that did not receive the success expected due to its square aesthetics and reliability problems. To design the new grand tourism of the House of Borgo Panigale it was called Leopoldo ...

The MHR MkI was released in 1979 to commemorate Mike Hailwood’s epic victory at the previous year’s TT. In 1980, Ducati came out with the MkII, very close to its predecessor but now with a steel tank and FPS wheels instead of the Campagnalos on the MkI. Ours is a 1982 Mk3. Cosmetically it is in quite nice condition ...
