1964 Volvo Amazon 121a 1800cc I have used it as my daily driver for 8 years and hardly had to spend money on it. I imported the car from a Volvo Amazon specialist in Hamburg who buys in Sweden and sells on, apart from me and him it's a one owner car from new and mileage is believed to be true given how the car drives.

I will start with the good bits:
The engine is really strong and pulls well everything works as it should, it has been very reliable for all these years and appart from a dynamo that died in early years of ownership it has never let me down.
Gaskets changed all-round (sump, rocker cover, fuel pump... Etc)
Re -cored radiator put in a couple of years back so cooling is all good.
New master cylinder last month
New fuel pump last month
Dynamo was changed 5 years ago and should be fine you could convert to alternator but works fine as is
I have all the bits to improve ignition and distribution but need to be fitted (coil, point to elecconversion kit, leads)
New 4-1 Simons sport exhaust fitted 2 months ago
New idler arm fitted last week
New gearbox mount fitted last week
Engine mounts were done 8 years ago
Wheels are the sport ones from a 123GT
Overdrive fitted 4 years ago
Brakes were done a year ago
New oil shocks fitted 3 years ago
Progressive springs the car sits a little lower than standard
New Thermostat fitted last year
Single carb service kit done 2 years ago
New leather steering wrap done last week feels much nicer
Poly bushes at the front fitted 8 years ago
Rally fog lights
Original chrome bumpers in great condition
Central console fitted
Lokari inner wheel arches at the front
I have all the door and boot seals that I will fit prior to selling.
the driving experience is really great, Everything is really tight on that side and it's an enjoyable car to drive with massive potential to be more.
Bonnet and front panels, pillars and roof all OK no rust. Engine bay and chassis also in good condition with no structural rust.
Clutch still has plenty of life left we had a look when we changed the master cylinder.
Tyres are halfway and still good for a couple of years depending on how often you will drive.

The bad bits :
Bodywork at the rear and bottom of the doors needs sorting out as you can see on the pictures, I had a decent quote from a guy who works on amazons in Cardiff but I now need to reluctantly sell the car due to being made redundant (covid)
One of the C pillars is starting to bubble as the rear window seal is deteriorated and gwater gets through I would changethe saeal asap especially if you are going to use everyday like I do.
The panels and door skins are all available relatively cheapily from Brookhouse. . With these changed and the rest sorted this could be a 15K.
I sorted all the gremlin stuff it just needs a last push. A very reliable classic that you can use everyday, it will always get you where you need to be. It just deserves a bit of love to fix the surface rust and respray to make it great.

Feel free to contact me if you have any questions or want to come and see it.

I have owned this 122s for 8 years. Only one previous owner, on the Reg Doc, an elderly gentleman who bought the Volvo a long time ago. He told me he used the car often and covered a total of 107000.....
