This car has an amazing story.
It's previous owner competed with it in the 1970s and 80s
There is a log book charting all the developments to the car and the events it took part in.
in August 1983, he stopped competing and laid the car up in the garage, where it remained until a couple of years ago (35 years later!) when he needed the garage space and finally sold it.
Needless to say the car needed completely re-commissioning, braking system, clutch, exhaust, running gear, etc. However the engine was as good as when it was put away. The wheels and tyres have been replaced with new ones.
Today the car is in first rate mechanical condition and would be a very inexpensive way to get into motor sport or to use on the road.
it has a 1275cc engine with a big valve, gas-flowed head from Rallye Equip. The fuel is fed by a Weber 45 DCOE carburettor. The engine produces 80BHP at the wheels, which gives stunning performance for such a small car. It currently has a 3.9 diff fitted for road use, but comes with 3 more diffs of different ratios for competition use. The original SU carburettors are also available.
The paint finish is amazing for a car that has stood for 35 years. It also has a good hood and hood bag. Email or call for more details and photos.
