1971 Jensen FF mk2 - Immaculate (ex-John Bonham) For Sale1971 Jensen FF Mark 2. Here we have my Jensen FF Mark 2 – I have owned it for about 11 years, I purchased the car from the long term owner Mr. P Bratley. Mr Bratley owned a white Interceptor convertible and this FF and was interested in competing in Concours – he had the car exactingly restored in the late 80s early 90s with the culmination of it winning 1st prize in the Jensen Owners Club concours in the mid-90s. The restoration reputedly costing over £70k back then. Featured in the ITV series “the Royal” and displayed twice at the Goodwood Revival (in their Earls court tribute) and the Festival of Speed (in their star cars exhibit) a lovely car to drive, very original and very reliable. It also has superb provenance having originally been owned by the Led Zeppelin drummer John Bonham, I understand that after ownership of an Interceptor and an Interceptor convertible, he upgraded to this FF, the car transferring to his widow Pat Bonham when John passed away. Wearing the number plate JB II, it is believe Pat sold the car in 1985. The ownership history is well researched and documented. I purchased the FF to join my Mk1 and Mk3 Interceptor, and a mk2 CV8 – the FF completed the collection so to speak and it’s been a great car to own. It was and still is in lovely condition, finished in a handsome dark blue (which looks a rich purple in strong sunlight) with the very original and super condition black interior, engine and gearbox and 4wd and the maxaret anti-lock braking all working perfectly, In general the car has a beautiful mellowed patina, exactly as you’d expect it to look - not overly restored and glossy. Only really for sale as I have a young family and finding the time to use it has been difficult, hence the reluctant decision to sell it - in fact looking back through old MOTs I’ve not really used it in the last few years. Comes with lots of history and either the mk 3 Jensen GKNs currently fitted or a lovely set of original Mk2 FF Rostyles. Also included is the elusive Mk2 Handbook (these are as rare as hen’s teeth) and the original toolkit. For those seriously interested please give me a call. I’m based near Guildford in Surrey.
